This was painted from a random picture taken during our walks in Leh.  That day The Dalai Lama was coming to town and all were making their way to the gathering.  Only when Dolma, our house help and also our milk man’s daughter saw this portrait that she exclaimed that she knew her and that she was the Chief’s wife. Oil on Canvas (24″x18″) on a wood frame covered with red velvet and a rose plant stem frame.
